Job Summary

This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for quality control across all facets of facilities operations and maintenance.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
  • Confer with management and other departments to define client requirements and expectations.
  • Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures. Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.
  • Direct product testing activities and the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data throughout production cycles.
  • Oversee workers including supervisors, inspectors, or laboratory workers engaged in testing activities.
  • Approves materials to be used in accordance with contract drawings and specifications.
  • Responsible for evaluating that quality corrective measures are taken.
  • Issue violation notices and stop-work orders, conferring with owners, violators, and authorities to explain regulations and recommend rectifications.
  • Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs.
  • Train, direct and supervise other construction inspectors.
  • Develops and implements quality policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
  • Develops, collects and reports performance metrics as needed to inform senior management.
  • Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct health inspection violations.
  • Review quality programs to determine their adequacy.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility and a polygraph.
  • Prior experience utilizing documents relating to the development of projects, contracting, and construction is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Control techniques and practices. Familiar with the U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations is required.
