Job Summary

Amentum is a trusted partner to United States government agencies, allied governments, and corporations worldwide and we are looking for you to support our Strategic Microelectronics program.

In this role, you will perform daily duties, including:

  • Receiving source data from subject matter experts (SMEs) and coordinating with SMEs to prepare technical documents (Standard Operating Procedures, Operating Procedures, Test Procedures, and Supplemental Training Guides) from the source data.
  • Preparing Engineering Change Request (ECR) forms, providing specific reasoning for changing or creating a document as well as a detailed description of the changes necessary.
  • Hosting formal document reviews (Tabletop Reviews) with project team to validate the content of the document.
  • Scheduling and participating in Operational Proofing's of documents in a lab environment to demonstrate the content and purpose of the document.
  • Submitting technical documents to configuration Management (CM) to initiate Change Review Board (CRB) reviews of the document by all required team members.
  • Determining which team members should perform CRB reviews.
  • Participating in CRB meetings to review and resolve comments against the document draft made by the other CRB reviewers.
  • Incorporating all valid review comments into the final document.
  • Participating in regularly scheduled status meetings.
  • Routinely updating status files for work assignments.
  • Creating documents utilizing Microsoft Office Programs such as Word and Excel, as well as other software, including Adobe Acrobat.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent.
  • 10 or more years of experience in engineering, science management, operations, or research analysis.
  • Demonstrated technical writing experience for DoD programs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be a United States citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience in United States Navy programs or operations.
  • Active Secret Clearance
