Groundwater Treatment Plant System Operator
Job Summary
Amentum is seeking a New Jersey N-1 Operator for our 10-year FAA Environmental Remediation Support Services contract with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the William J. Hughes FAA Technical Center located in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
The Groundwater Treatment Plant System Operator (System Operator) is a full-time project site employee. The System Operator is responsible for the operation of groundwater treatment systems under the direct supervision of the on-site Operations Manager. The System Operator makes routine adjustments to process equipment and implements operating requirements under the guidance of the Operations Manager to meet process operating objectives. System Operators perform physical work, water sampling, and maintenance work as directed.
Minimum Requirements
1. New Jersey Industrial Wastewater Treatment System license (minimum N-1) is required.
2. SCADA system experience is required.
3. Microsoft Office experience is required.
4. Experience in process operations of facilities that pump, treat, and discharge groundwater utilizing granular activated carbon, air stripping, and re-injection.
5. Experience with sludge dewatering operations and hazardous materials handling.
6. 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training.
7. 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training.
8. United States of America citizen.
9. Valid Driver’s License.
10. Ability to pass a secure government facility background check.
11. Ability to pass drug-screen testing.
