Associate Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Hematology

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of HEOR/RWE strategies and tactics for commercialized and pipeline hematology assets/indications.
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to field HEOR, VAP, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Prep Team, Medical Capabilities, CORDS, and Publication Team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to support and influence internal BMS stakeholders.
  • Serve as an internal HEOR expert helping develop product value propositions by incorporating HEOR evidence to support market access and brand objectives.
  • Be viewed of as an internal HEOR expert who is fully integrated into the BMS matrix team and provides critical input into the development of effective value communication tools and programs for optimal patient access.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make decisions on selecting external organizations and researchers with appropriate expertise for research collaborations.
  • Keep well-informed about latest US payer, HTA and health policy requirements and HEOR methodological evolvements
  • Effectively lead scientifically rigorous HEOR studies and manage projects from concept through full execution, including reporting the evidence at scientific congresses, in peer reviewed publications, and proactive/reactive BMS communication tools.
  • Strive to demonstrate BMS values of integrity, passion, urgency, innovation, accountability and inclusion.

Education Requirements

  • An advanced degree in Health Economics, Econometrics, Epidemiology, Public Health or related discipline is highly preferred.
  • MS/MPH with 8+ years of experience or PhD with 4+ years of experience. Candidates with an MD or PharmD with 4 years of relevant experience will also be considered.

Skills Requirements

  • Ability to understand, interpret, and make recommendations concerning the evolving US market.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with strong problem solving and communications skills.
  • Previous experience executing research and managing projects independently.
  • Relevant scientific experience in clinical setting or within pharmaceutical industry.
  • Previous experience in publishing scientific data.
  • Advanced degree in health science with strong scientific publication track record.
  • In depth understanding of healthcare economics, epidemiology, quality of life and clinical research.
  • Strong understanding of US payer and market access challenges.
  • In-depth understanding of statistical methods and tests.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical development and product promotional guidelines (e.g. FDA Consistent with Label guidance, FDAMA 114).
