Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will support HR initiatives by performing a variety of HR administrative duties including maintaining accurate records, personnel files and Human Resources IT systems. This role will provide administrative support as needed in all areas including employee relations, staffing, compensation and benefits administration, training and other areas as requested. The ideal candidate will have entry-level knowledge of Human Resources and they must able to work autonomously and efficiently to support the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.

Salary: $ 23-25 / hr

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry; as well as special projects and assisting with general administration regarding benefits, payroll, training and development, legal compliance, and other human resource topics.
  • Assist in the recruiting of new associates (job posting, pre-selection, reference checks, recommendations, and offer letters). Assist with all on-boarding and orientation programs, updates records with new hires and assists with I-9 compliance, if applicable.
  • Provide excellent customer service as a reliable and effective point of contact for associates. Follow procedures and policies when performing HR transactions, creating HR correspondence and communications, and responding to basic associate inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
  • Gathers, assembles and distributes both standard and customized reports to HR and managers regularly and upon request. Support performance management processes and reports using Company management tools and processes.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with a concentration in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field
  • SHRM, HRPA, or HRCI certifications (i.e., PHR, SPHR, CHRP) preferred
  • 1 year of HR Administration or related field experience required
  • Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all work related contacts, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Project management experience, high-level organizational skills and experience working with outside vendors.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to learn and interpret Human Resources policies, procedures and all applicable laws.
  • Ability to collect and compile information and data.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment and education) are required.
