What you will do:

As the Associate Materials Manager you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies for Stryker Redmond inventory. You will manage a Procurement team and Data Analyst. This role will maintain ownership for Inventory quality system level documentation.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Set direction for plant level inventory targets and strategy. Develop timelines for inventory growth and reduction strategies for use in senior leadership decisions.
  • Manage direct reports including an inventory analyst. Provide coaching and conduct performance appraisals for team
  • Develop and maintain inventory KPIs with cross functional teams to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Own and maintain Quality System level documentation around inventory processes and controls.
  • Act as subject matter expert and main contact for all inventory focused subjects including but not limited to audits, quality system owner, liaison with local and offsite inventory partners.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
  • 6 years professional experience
  • Preferred background in Materials management, Inventory management, Procurement/purchasing management, or Supply planning
  • 1+ years of relevant inventory management and supervisory experience.
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Inventory Control processes, procedures, and systems in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, fosters team development, good organizational skills, and be detail oriented.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision. Initiates resolution to problems.
  • Professional and effective written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, write and implement policies and procedures.

Working Conditions:

  • May require work in both Office and Warehouse environment
  • May require movement of objects (up to 50 lbs)
  • May be required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment)
