Work you'll do

As a Senior on our PSG IM team, you will:

  • Consult with subject matter specialists and our clients in transforming their tax compliance processes through process and technology.
  • Develop new features and capabilities in our industry leading iPACS technology ecosystem
  • Review emerging technologies and assist in integrating them into our service delivery
  • Lead client engagement teams and client delivery.
  • Supervise tax consultants and interns.

PSG is part of National Federal Tax Services (NFTS), a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP made up of a number of tax service offerings. Each NFTS service offering has been developed and built as a result of a tax planning idea, a marketplace need, or a technological innovation-all with the purpose of delivering results for our clients. Our people are entrepreneurial in spirit and have always had the work-hard/play-hard mentality. NFTS service lines provide tax planning and compliance support for the largest organizations across all industries.

Qualifications

Required
  • 2 years' experience in federal partnership tax compliance or tax compliance for investments with corporate ownership
  • Foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statements of Statutory Accounting Principles (SSAP), and related pronouncements such as Accounting Standards Codification Topic 740: Income Taxes (ASC 740) and Statement of Statutory Accounting Principles No. 101 (SSAP 101).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA, enrolled agent, or other appropriate certification complete or in progress
  • Aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Able to travel up to 30% (While 30% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred
  • Familiarity with tax compliance for investments
  • Investment management industry experience (e.g. private equity, real estate, fund of funds, hedge funds)
  • Advanced degree such as MSA or MST
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively develop internal and external working relationships
