Do it here.What youll be doing...As an MTIPS Security Lab Engineer working in the Verizon MTIPS Product lab, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and validating various components and features of our Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS), Trusted Internet Connections (TIC 3.0) program. You will also be responsible for the security testing of various other products and services offered by Verizon such as Fios and 5G in-home routers and WIFI extenders. You will interact with many internal and external teams, collaborate on solutions to solve complex problems, and ensure platforms remain ready to create the solutions our Public Sector customers count on.Responsibilities:+ The Security Lab Engineer is responsible for day to day maintenance of the lab operations of Verizon MTIPS Product rapid prototyping facilities including user support, software updates, hardware maintenance, inventory control, standards adherence and general lab upkeep. Thorough understanding of lab infrastructure, hands on, working knowledge with copper/fiber cabling, rack and stack (or managing virtual deployments) and configuration of multi-vendor, multi-platform telecommunications devices will ensure that you are able to adapt quickly to changing requirements to support test cases. Experience with service provider technologies and services is preferred.+ The individual will be supporting a lab environment that is a replica of the production environment. The lab engineer will implement the lab network and security devices to reflect the production environment and test equipment and configurations to validate equipment performance. The individual will be developing test plan documents that identify the testing requirements, scenarios, methodologies and configurations to be tested. The individual will configure the lab, run the tests and document the results of the testing in a testing summary document. The individual will additionally responsible for testing specific customer policies within the environment to determine the impact to the production environment.+ Lab Engineers will be responsible for ensure all documentation to deploy features/capabilities to production is accurate and complete.+ Utilize understanding of network and security protocols and concepts include IP routing, BGP, VLAN, authentication, access control, audit, configuration management, patch management, vulnerability management and asset management. The individual should have a strong background working with IPSec, SSL, PKI, key management, Physical Security, Network Security, Correlation Tools, Vulnerability Scanning Tools and Information Assurance+ Integration and testing of Customer Premise (in-home and small business) networking products (Broadband Routers, Set Top Boxes, digital media devices, 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless devices etc.) and services.+ Participate in or conduct periodic status meetings and joint working sessions with teams and supplier on integration and testing activities.+ Work as part of test teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and overall functioning of the solution in the lab and production environments.+ Meet schedule commitments to ensure timely delivery.+ Prepare and present technical status updates for senior leadership team and for all cross-functional project teams.+ Accountable for project or program results. Develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for achieving end results.+ Solve a wide range of complex problems. Provide solution to technical issues that have project-wide and revenue impact.+ Work is varied within a sometimes ambiguous environment which requires constant interpretation utilizing keen critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.What were looking for...You'll need to have:+ Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.+ Expertise managing, configuring and testing Fortinet products (Fortigate, Fortimanager, FortiAnalyzer).+ Ability to pass a Public Trust Security Clearance.Even better if you have:+ Masters degree in a technical field - preferably in Information Security, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.+ Certifications: CEH, SSCP, OSCP, GSEC, CISSP, CCIE, CCNA+ Programing / Scripting: Python, Bash, JavaScript, C+++ Strong understanding of network protocols including but not limited to IP, IPv6, TCP, UDP, ARP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, SFTP, HTTP and IPSec.+ Experience configuring enterprise routers, switches and firewalls.+ Experience securing, utilizing, configuring and maintaining Linux-based operating systems.+ Experience in software quality assurance effectively preparing and documenting interface specifications, test plans, and test reports.+ Experience working with security tools such as Metasploit, Defensics, Core Impact, BURP Suite, OWASP-ZAP, Wireshark, NMAP, Nessus, CDRouter and BreakingPoint.+ Experience maintaining lab infrastructure including: user databases, software repositories, network infrastructure, server infrastructure, and associated applications+ Experience with structured fiber and copper cabling, cable termination, cable management, and adherence to guidelines for maintaining clean cable runs+ Experience with managing inventory, asset tracking, shipping and receiving records, purchasing information, etc.+ Experience with racking and stacking new equipment and ensuring environmental, electrical, and facility requirements are met+ Experience in fault isolation, repair and resolution, and documenting root cause analysis (RCA) for reported trouble tickets+ Knowledge of public and private cloud, virtualization, orchestration, and managed services+ The candidate must be self-motivated, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.+ Experience leading small interorganizational teams toward a common goal+ Experience in next-generation technologies including: Zero Trust, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Software Defined Networking (SDN), Multicloud, and/or Multi-access Edge Compute (MEC), particularly in a Managed Services (MSP) or Telecommunications/Service Provider setting+ Strong verbal and written communications skills.22CyberNETEqual Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
