Security Supervisor
Job Summary
The Security Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of staff for Security functions for assigned Strategic Business Units (SBUs) or Strategic Business Area (SBA).
• Supervises daily activities of assigned staff to ensure efficiencies in compliance with corporate government contractual and legal requirements.
• Implements and ensures proper industrial security procedures are followed in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DI’s policy and procedures and applicable government regulations and directives.
• Develops and implements security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel.
• Reviews, tracks and monitors all physical security policies and procedures.
• Assist Security Manager in supervising subcontract security guard force
• Deploys to site(s) in preparation for phase-in of new contracts; meets with security counterparts to facilitate implementing security program.
• Audits and initiates procedures to improve the existing security system as deemed necessary.
• Obtains industrial security related records for all new contracts for SBUs.
• Prepares, maintains and reports detailed records pertaining to control of classified matters, safes, keys, personnel clearance, badges, etc.
• Consults to various levels of management on military and plant security problems and ensures compliance with the Department of Defense Industrial Security Manual.
• Conducts site visits; reviewing security procedures and conducting security education training.
• Conducts annual employees reviews.
• Prepares documentation for sponsorship of facility clearances for new SBUs and Joint Ventures (JV).
• Inspects all certified mail received for classified content.
• Serves as alternate communication security (COMSEC) custodian; maintains accurate accountability of COMSEC items both classified and unclassified through the Distributed Infosec Accounting System (DIAS)
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline.
• Two (2) years’ experience in Security field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
• Six (6) years’ experience working in security environment.
• Knowledge of industrial security laws, i.e, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
• Demonstrates proficiency of Microsoft applications.
•Must have ability to obtain and maintain US Security clearance: NACI.
