Responsibilities

Andrew J. Gorman & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, is hiring a Summer 2023 Law (May 22, 2023 - August 4, 2023) intern for our Orlando, FL office. The internship strives to provide a balanced and realistic representation of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, as well as real world exposure to a multitude of legal services being provided including litigation and trial practice. The selected individual will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with attorneys on assigned projects, observe every phase of litigation, perform legal research, and will have a designated mentor throughout the internship. This is a paid internship working in a hybrid environment with some required presence in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.

Located in Orlando, FL, we enjoy and active, busy civil trial practice. We provide a congenial, team-oriented, professional work environment with skilled support staff.

Qualifications

• 2L students currently enrolled in an ABA accredited Law School and remain enrolled for the duration of the internship
• Excellent academic credentials preferably top 25% of class in law school
• Strong research and writing skills including familiarity with Westlaw
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
