What You Will Do

The Solution Manager bears overall accountability for solution delivery in accordance with Enterprise Architecture guidelines that provide capabilities in Legal & Compliance. You will lead the team directly responsible for delivery of new capabilities and supporting technologies to the Legal & Compliance functions at Stryker in a growing space. You will also own resource vendor relationships including planning and contract negotiation. Your team will be responsible to produce detailed technical documentation, configuration and/or development within the assigned applications, understanding of the overall design and architecture of in-scope platforms, and delivery of the end-to-end solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead build and delivery activities for all Legal & Compliance products/applications/technologies following Stryker’s Software Development Lifecycle(SDLC) framework and processes
  • Lead and direct the work of direct team members and cross-functional teams including Technical Solution Leads, Technical Solution Analysts and Solution Architects within the Corporate Functions Legal & Compliance areas or programs
  • Execution of transition-to-run activities and deliverables provided to ensure a smooth transition to operations
  • ​Ensure objectives, requirements, and activities are clear to team members and status, risks, and issues are clearly communicated to stakeholders and managed
  • ​Serve as an escalation point for Solution Delivery related questions, issues, risks, and strategy
  • ​Work with the Demand Review Board to manage demand into Corporate Functions Legal & Compliance with respect to available capacity
  • ​Plan and execute activities for assigned projects for Corporate Functions Legal & Compliance
  • ​Author contractual agreements with external suppliers as required
  • ​Manage and coordinate with external suppliers and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables, agreed upon timelines, and metrics
  • ​Lead/champion new generation of technologies in the Corporate Functions Legal & Compliance arenas
  • ​Choose the right technology platform for implementing an architected solution
  • ​Formulate deployment strategies to ensure reliability and scalability for Stryker systems
  • ​Assess technological risks that could jeopardize the growth and/or operations of the organization; make recommendations on applications retirement
  • ​Provide consultation on complex projects, considered the top-level contributor/specialist

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required - Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of professional work experience, including direct people leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience deploying or delivering solutions that provide capabilities and services for Legal and Compliance systems (i.e.: Icertis)
  • Experience leading direct teams, as well as vendor and cross-functional resources in projects and programs
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of enterprise systems including but not limited to contract lifecycle management. Familiarity with Icertis’s Contract Intelligence platform is a strong plus.
  • Strong commercial awareness and acumen and dealing with vendors including contract negotiation
  • Versatility and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Experienced in enterprise solution methodologies, preferably in both traditional waterfall and agile approaches preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of audiences including Senior Management
