Verizon is hiring a Senior Project Manager - IoT and M2M as the key project stakeholder for transformative digital experiences and Open development initiatives. If you value innovation and longer-term thinking and are self-motivated and curious about technology, this position may be perfect for you. As part of the Open Development Device Certification team, you will interface with leading and emerging OEMs to certify IOT/M2M devices. You will work with leading domestic and international OEM's to design, develop, certify and deploy state-of-the-art devices. You will be a key POC to increase the number of connections and devices on Verizon network for CAT1-CAT18, CAT M1, NB-IoT and 5G. You will manage the relationship with the SIM manufacturer and will work on key SIM projects for eSIM, eUICC, low cost SIM for M2M, Global single SKU SIM. You will be responsible for driving Verizon solution projects for BUSS, BOS initiatives and also manage Verizon diagnostics certification for M2M devices.

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with cross-organizational discussions to identify root cause and resolve complex customer issues.
  • Experience in strong partnerships with IoT Device partners to ensure the requirements are met for certification.
  • Ability to perform data analysis to identify root cause of operational issues.
  • Ability to redesign existing processes to streamline M2M operations.
  • Ability to develop and publish process metrics to improve performance of M2M operations.
  • Ability to facilitate strategic discussions and brainstorm improvement opportunities with M2M operational teams
  • Ability to ensure all full certification and maintenance releases are managed according to OD processes.
  • Ability to guide the OEM through all technical specifications, marketing information release note
  • Ability to inform and educate the OEM on using the portal where all this information is stored.
  • Ability to coordinate meetings with or internal labs to decide on test plans to be run on the device, approve the devices for testing at third party labs.
  • Ability to develop workflow and process map diagrams to drive detailed requirements and discussions.
  • Ability to set up profile of device for activation and billing.
  • Ability to provide guidance on device requirements to the OEM.
  • Ability to provide Module hardware selection information.
  • Ability to provide secure access to our internal portal.
  • Ability to provide weekly status on all devices assigned.
  • Ability to provide priority of these devices for test plan evaluation at our internal lab.
  • Developing, documenting and sharing processes defined to assist in supporting 5G experience.
  • Ability to play a key role in navigating complex business and management challenges, collaborating across a variety of internal teams and leading a small team of professionals focusing on 5G requirements, testing scope, automation and IT integration.
  • Knowledge in Interface with IT and PMO organizations to develop system enhancements.
  • Ability to manage delivery timeline to implement and streamline M2M processes.
  • Ability to manage activities to introduce new processes and systems to operations.
  • Ability to monitor process performance to drive improvement and ongoing process/system enhancements.
