M&A/Restructuring Project Management Officer

Are you an experienced and passionate self-starter looking for an opportunity to oversee the responsibility of day-to-day management and operational planning, and to provide support to cross-team leadership for Deloitte's cutting-edge M&A/R Practice used by some of the biggest and most influential businesses around the world? If so, we are currently seeking a PMO Lead to support the M&A Asset product team.

This role will be key to ensuring the M&A OP asset agenda is delivered. This role will drive the alignment of technical, support and asset teams ensuring a world class experience for Engagement and Deloitte Client teams.

Work you'll do

• Provide direct business management support to the leadership team
• Tackle special projects of a strategic nature with discretion, optimism, and attention to detail
• Structure the work of a team of professionals and coordinate closely with other senior leaders to drive firm's asset and innovation strategy
• Establish and operate a Program Management Office (PMO) for a collection of M&A/R Assets or Analytics capabilities. You will:
  • Enable program success by identifying, tracking, and aiding key success factors
  • Quickly assess and prioritize multiple activities, issues, mitigations all competing for finite resources.
  • Escalate, track and report on issues, mitigations, KPI's etc. keeping M&A OP Asset, leadership and Support teams aligned. Apply critical thinking to solve issues and mitigate risks at the program level
  • Oversee the program budget and financial reporting, supported by the Finance team.
  • Ensure that the program complies with reporting standards and coordinates with key groups
  • Play a key role in integrating with M&A OP and others managing the associated staff, budget, and services
  • Manage the vision and execution of Asset Teams financials, roadmaps and reporting
  • Maintain alignment between the operating portfolio teams, asset strategy, enabling our clients

• Technical background in developing solutions or implementing technology strategy
• Successful candidate will have a bias towards action and history of driving progress to completion
• Experience with Agile Scrum, asset strategy and development, program operations, and executive communications
• Demonstrated expertise with multiple portfolio lifecycles across business strategy, design, implementation, delivery, and compliance
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with ambiguity and solving complex problems
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Ability to execute on projects and strong reputation for "getting things done"
• Identifies and prioritizes tasks in a fast-paced, startup-like atmosphere
• Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice).
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

• Demonstrated interest in emerging technology trends (or the firm's signature issues) and how they can be incorporated into new Consulting offerings
• Strong ability to craft strategic messaging for various stakeholder audiences including corporate and government clients, startups, accelerators, and Consulting staff, PMDs and executives
• Diplomacy and patience required to drive strategic change in a massive, decentralized firm
• PMP Certification
