Builds and maintains effective long-term external relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at a select group of major customer accounts. Works with a defined set of customers, typically within a geographic or industry focus, to meet revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per customer, and by identifying, developing and closing new sales opportunities to meet long term company objectives. Provides tailored offering to accounts. Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. This job family is to be used for Human Health only.

Primary Function of Position:

The Sr. Account Management Medical Devices will be responsible for bringing lifesaving medical device to market. Additionally, it will be responsible for the commercial launch of the medical device to appropriately selected, targeted accounts and health systems. This position will be heavily involved in helping to define the initial sales process and commercialization playbook and will be responsible for the launch of Jada into hospital Labor & Delivery departments, with a focus on driving clinical utilization and adoption of the medical device in their assigned geographies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement and participate in commercial strategies and activities focused on the successful launch of the maternal health medical device as measured by account openings, achieving revenue and reorder rate targets, and driving product/procedure adoption.
  • Conducts consultative sales calls to targeted OB/GYN physicians, Hospitalist and Midwife customers, as well as all ancillary staff members.
  • In tandem with the broader organization, the AM Medical Device will provide inputs that will assist in the development of a robust and repeatable sales process and identification of account onboarding/development best practices.
  • Directs all staff training, including in servicing of all relevant medical practitioners involved in Labor and Delivery, and oversees all medical education planning during account launches.
  • Builds and maintains strong customer relationships, including KOL cultivation and maintenance.
  • Develops relationships with hospital administrative staff, and develops and executes corporate contracts where appropriate, including GPO/IDN contracting, if applicable.
  • Partners closely with Marketing to develop programs that support broad product utilization and customer education.
  • Works in close partnership with cross-functional departments, including the Marketing, Engineering, and Clinical Operations teams, as well as Quality and Regulatory Affairs, to provide field-based input and serve as the “voice of the customer.”
  • Implements targeted call plan and appropriately mobilizes corporate resources where necessary.
  • Transfers account knowledge and other requested information to Sales Area Manager or Business Director on weekly basis. Proactively recognizes and communicates urgent information in a timely manner.
  • Manages expense budgets for their respective geography and is accountable for compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Reports customer product complaints and adverse events per the corporate Quality Affairs policy and sells products per FDA labelling and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains current working knowledge of reimbursement environment and speaks proficiently regarding such matters.
  • Completes administrative requirements on time and accurately.
  • Proficient with the use of CRM and maintains and updates in a timely manner.
  • Maintains company standards involving ethical and moral character, and always represents the company with the highest professional standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Willing and able to travel as needed (up to 50%).
  • Expertise working with technology platforms.
  • Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Attend relevant professional meetings.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven track record in medical device sales.
  • 3 to 5 years of sales / business development experience in the healthcare industry including startup / product launch experience.
  • Experience working with physician customers and hospital-based selling and contracting.
  • Experience in women’s health space is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility, willingness, and desire to work in a small, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Dropbox and Google G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive).
