Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembler Technician. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm. The rate for this position is $17.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:

The Assembler Technician will play a pivotal role in supporting our engineering and production teams. Their responsibilities will include:

In this function, you will:

• Design and physically create fixtures, carts, safety guarding, and other solutions through assemblies, and other fabrication operations alongside other members of the CR8 design team.

• Work primarily with manufacturing, CI. Eng. Team and shop floor personnel to implement solutions while supporting requests from other sources in the plant as well.

• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and information related to quality activities during manufacturing launches for new product introductions.

• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement: Promoting and supporting lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manufacturing Execution System (MES): Create and maintain MES systems for development and production programs.

• Assembly Line Setup: Assisting in setting up efficient assembly line processes, including assembly sequence, tool identification, and MES configuration.

• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering on design for excellence and design for manufacturability and assembly initiatives.

• Generate reports, conduct tests, gather data, and write results/reports.

• Equipment Evaluation and Validation: Work with engineering staff to evaluate, specify, and validate equipment functionality and best practices.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

• A high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

• 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor software, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Welding Certified (assembly and structural welding preferred)
  • Safety: Hot Work Training, LOTO Training, Fork truck certified
  • Fabrication or machine shop experience.
  • Technical degree, Associate’s degree or higher
