Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our 3rd shift team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN facility and starts at $19.89; which includes the 5% shift differential.

In this function you will:

  • Safely and efficiently deliver materials as needed to various locations utilizing daily checklist.
  • Unload trucks and check freight bills accordingly.
  • Return materials back to stock. Maintain all documentation accordingly.
  • Wear all safety equipment and observe all hygiene requirements as specified and directed.
  • Act as back-up to other material handlers as needed in different sections.
  • Locate material when required by other material handlers, internal customers or supervisors.
  • Record transactions consistent with established procedures.

Position Criteria:

  • Lift 40 pounds repeatedly and able to safely team lift items exceeding that weight
  • Stand/walk for a working shift
  • Work overtime as necessary.
  • Provide support for assembly section as needed.
  • Perform work in a manner that supports Eaton's Quality standards and systems
  • Be responsible for following all safety policies and rocedures and wearing proper PPE.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Cleveland, TN will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • Must not be on a final written warning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one-year previous stand-up reach forklift operating experience
  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience in driving a tow motor in a manufacturing environment
