Eaton’s vehicle group is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Tualatin, OR facility.

Position Overview:

The Machine Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating warehouse equipment.

In this function you will:

  • Operates PCB specialty machines as well as understand the basic preventative maintenance for those machines and ability to train.
  • Work to standard operating procedures / work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, to complete assembly or sub-assemblies.
  • Escalate any issues in quality or machine maintenance upon discovery.
  • Able to work independently to standard operating procedures / work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to established procedures.
  • Work closely with Engineering to assist with engineering change modification implementation. Incorporates Engineering change notices into assembly as instructed.
  • Responsible for inspections of material before and after assembly using various fixtures gauges or tools.
  • Responsible for contributing to the implementation and ongoing use of continuous improvement standards/events and 5S.
  • Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions.
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Tualatin OR to be considered. No relocation Benefits provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to setup machinery
  • Ability to read process sheets
  • Visual inspection of cold and hot parts
  • Entering data into computer
  • IPC Certified or the ability to acquire IPC certification

Position Criteria:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position
