What you will do-

Work Schedule: Friday to Monday – 5:00am – 3:30pm. This employee must work 100% at a Stryker office or business site.

People

  • Strengthen organizational capability to attain and continue to reach Operations goals through direct and daily supervision of the production team via: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, development, and performance management.
  • Drive the Stryker UNITED culture by promoting an environment of respect, open communication, positivity, productivity, delivery and team-orientation.
  • Act as the owner of the production line. Lead the Operations Core Team (Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer) by setting expectations, direction, and priorities to meet Key Performance Indicators.

Quality

  • Manage an Operations team in line with the Stryker Quality Policy – Quality is First in Everything We Do.
  • Ensure product is manufactured to the validated state, as documented in work instructions, and recorded on Lot History Records.
  • Drive commitment to patient safety, product quality and compliance with the Stryker Quality Manual and its governing regulations.

Service

  • Create daily and monthly production targets, in coordination with the Planning team, to balance daily targets and product mix.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and priorities in the production area to reach output targets.
  • Manage production organization and productivity on the production line to achieve daily and monthly outputs.

Cost

  • Work directly with the Manufacturing Engineer on daily scrap identification and improvement projects.
  • Lead efforts to drive results for high efficiency and effectiveness with Manufacturing Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Quality Engineering and Planning colleagues.
  • Monitor direct labor expenses (hours worked, overtime, variable cost per standard hour) and manage the minimization of these costs.
  • Manage production line to limit work-in-progress and material usage variance.

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline, i.e. Engineering, Science, Finance, Supply Chain, Business highly preferred; or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of equivalent experience will be considered
  • 2 years’ experience in business, operations, or manufacturing preferably in medical device or other highly regulated industry, required
  • 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a production environment, preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience or Six Sigma green belt, preferred
  • System experience such as SAP, MES, preferred
  • Working knowledge & understanding of general Quality System & ISO 9001 requirements
  • Working knowledge and understanding the overall business process from material receiving to finish goods shipping.
