Responsibilities

The Design Ops team at State Farm is responsible for managing the internal brand design team's creative operations and ensuring design excellence at scale. Members of this team will help shape and drive team culture, design craft and priorities. The Production Coordinator plays an instrumental role overseeing the creative team's time and capacity and coordinating requests from initiation to completion.

As a Production Coordinator, you will report to the Brand Manager over Design Ops and partner with Design Ops Leads, creative directors, copywriters, art directors and designers. You will help enable the design team to focus their time on designing and help drive efficiency across work efforts. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the design process, attention to detail, and bring a collaborative, team-oriented approach to our team.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Working closely with Design Ops Leads to understand scope of incoming requests
  • Collaborating closely with the creative team to ensure clarity of the assignment, including technical specifications and mandatories
  • Providing coordination support for creative development to ensure that time, volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved
  • Forecasting ahead of and reconciling/escalating potential conflicts in work or gaps in team capacity
  • Trafficking completed files to vendors and agencies in a variety of ways
  • Accounting for copyright guidelines, licensing agreements, and compliance needs and documenting at project close-out
  • Maintaining timely and accurate timelines, milestones and updates across creative requests, communicating and monitoring the progress of each project
  • Scheduling [JH1] project kick-offs and brainstorming sessions and distributing notes and status updates as appropriate
  • Implementing or driving required process and/or workflow changes to make sure creative teams are working at optimum efficiency
  • Acting as a liaison communicating regularly with internal stakeholders, purchasing, external vendors and agencies


NOTE : This role is a Hybrid work arrangement for Bloomington IL, Dunwoody GA, Richardson TX, and Tempe AZ. Remote work arrangements will only be considered for qualified applicants who reside outside of these 4 listed locations.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree is highly preferred
  • Experience working with purchasing, creative agencies and vendors
  • 3+ years in a design production environment or related experience OR demonstrated related knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines promptly and efficiently
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for efficiency
  • Ability to understand communication styles of team members to ensure clarity and remove barriers and issues
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and calmly employ critical thinking skills during stressful situations and forecast ahead of issues
  • Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies, tools, and software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with Digital Asset Management tools
  • Experience with Workfront is a plus
