Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Stock Clerk for a temporary position with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This program provides Chemical Management Services in support of DLA Aviation's retail industrial direct support of aircraft maintenance depot and production lines.

This is a temporary position not to exceed (NTE) 180 days.

  • The Stock Clerk shall perform all aspects of the requirements in the PWS to include Inventory Control, Issue Center Management, and Point of Use Locker Management.
  • The Stock Clerk receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard.
  • This worker sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material, fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
  • This worker also compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments, may mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, may distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued, may make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock, and may cut stock to site to fill order.
  • Uses a Government HM Inventory and Environmental Management Application such as the Hazardous Materials Management System (HMMS), Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS), or Hazardous Materials Information Management System (HMIDS) and other Government Data Systems.

Duty hours and work schedules, to include weekends, will be determined by the Site Project Manager and based on workload requirements.


Minimum Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent is desirable.
  • Must be knowledgeable of material and supply procedures as required by the contract and/or delivery order.
  • Minimum six (6) months of recent experience in general material and supply functions, either in the military service or in commercial applications
