Cell Therapy Development Business Operations department supports both strategic and operational objectives for Cell Therapy Development (CTD) with support of capital and asset management, lab operations, project management, resource management, outsourcing, operational excellence and learning and compliance.

Reporting to the Director of Cell Therapy Development Business Operations, this individual will be responsible for supporting the CTD organization communication’s strategy and execution, learning management, business process enhancement efforts and coordination with external business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate ongoing communication channel updates and activities, such as set up/maintenance of CTD organization SharePoint sites and CTD newsletter publication
  • Support management of successful CTD level meetings, such as Townhall meetings, Senior Leadership Team meetings, and other types of communication activities
  • Support CTD managers to establish Learning Management with a goal to improve and sustain core competencies among staff
  • Work with functional area management and subject matter experts to ensure appropriate training assignments for sites, functions, and roles
  • Work with CTD management and functional area representatives to drive improvements to our operational processes, such as CTD onboarding, lab and office space planning, etc.
  • Ensure ongoing organizational engagement with key stakeholders such as Procurement, External Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence, Information Technology, etc.
  • Candidate will be able to identify and lead other efforts to drive the business, such as safety and compliance coordination, spend and space analysis, support operational metrics
  • Serve as project manager and /or participate, as needed, in any initiatives that are identified in BD annual objectives and/or strategic initiatives
  • As needed or assigned, provide departmental business operations support for identified groups in CTD (track objectives, facilitate staff meetings, assist with special initiatives)

Individual will interface with various levels of Cell Therapy Development leadership, Operational Excellence, Facilities & Engineering, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Strategic Product Development Business Operations and Finance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or relevant scientific discipline with >5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Project management experience with the ability to develop clear action plans and drive execution to meet timelines and deliver on commitments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement.
  • Capable of bringing structure to vaguely defined problems while using creative yet pragmatic problem-solving approaches and execution management
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and executive-level messaging skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence, and drive organizational engagement
  • Strong ability to ensure connectivity across multiple functions across sites and with the enterprise
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
