Located 45 miles northwest of Boston, Bristol Myers Squibb’s 89-acre Devens campus supports our biologics process development as well as clinical and commercial manufacturing. The site also features a new state-of-the-art Cell Therapy manufacturing facility with anticipated completion of construction in 2023, expanding our well-established network with cutting-edge technologies and highly trained manufacturing teams. Here, in one of the industry’s most technologically advanced manufacturing facilities, you will be inspired every day by incredibly interesting and meaningful work, while playing a pivotal role in delivering on our global strategy.

This HR Business Partner for Cell Therapy Operations (CTO) position responsible for supporting the new Cell Therapy Facility at the Devens, Massachusetts BMS campus. In this role you will provide HR Business partnership to dedicated leaders to drive business performance through focused execution of our People Strategy, organization design, talent management, and change management. The Cell Therapy Site is positioned for significant growth over the next 1-3 years as the facility is completed, processes are transferred, operations are initiated, and regulatory filings and inspections are submitted.

Position Responsibilities

  • As HR Business Partner, provides support to designated areas of the business.
  • Collaborate with dedicated CTO business leaders and CTO HR team to create an effective and integrated strategy for advancing the business.
  • Leverage business strategy, people strategy, external best practices and organizational insights to deliver bold and innovative organizational and talent solutions.
  • Apply “systems thinking” and leads change for effectiveness of organization performance through the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance.
  • Apply judgment to data insights and trends to support business talent and organization decisions that drives organizational effectiveness and innovative and robust workforce planning, engagement strategies, and succession management.
  • Collaborate across the HR Operating Model (COE’s, People Services) to articulate business needs and partner in delivering solutions in ways that bring value across the enterprise.
  • Define and lead change management efforts to ensure delivery of organizational solutions, programs and deliverables.
  • Take a leadership role in creating a respectful and inclusive work environment while role modeling the BMS Behaviors,
  • Participate in BMS, GPS and Devens Campus HR initiatives as a lead or team member to build capability across the enterprise
  • Play an active role as a ‘seat at the table’ site LT member
  • As necessary, independently leads HR initiatives that serve to harmonize the ways of working and policies across the CTO manufacturing and quality network
  • Partner with respective leadership teams to identify critical roles, key talent, and succession gaps, and helps to shape plans to improve succession depth and talent development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree, Advanced Degree preferred, and 8+ years of HR relevant business experience
  • Extensive experience as an HR trusted business partner with proven success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making
  • Experience in the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance
  • Experience in leading change management efforts including defining change and communication plans
  • Demonstrated experience in applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies, and succession management
  • Proven application in leveraging business acumen and external insights to improve business and talent outcomes
  • Knowledge of trends and factors that influence human behaviors and decision making at the individual, group, and organizational level
  • Proven experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a cross functional and team environment
  • Highly Desired: Previous experience in a manufacturing facility/function in high-growth mode or start-up

May require some travel to the various BMS locations in the US (<15%)
