Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)
WGME CBS13 / WPFO FOX 23 in Portland, Maine is a trusted brand providing Maine viewers with local news, weather, sports, entertainment, and social media content. We hire talented people who wish to excel in the television and digital content industry. Our team is filled with spirit, passion, and imagination. We have an exciting opportunity for experienced, aggressive, and creative Multimedia Journalists (MMJ).
Skills and Experience:
- Sharp news judgment
- The ability to tell an NPPA style story
- Excellent technical skills, able to report, shoot and edit news stories
- Enterprising story ideas
- The ability to work well independently
- Produce daily content on a variety of platforms, including the internet, social networking sites, and mobile phones, in addition to television
- Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years reporting experience is required
- Experience with live shots is required
- Experience with Live-U is a plus
- Razor-sharp news judgement
- Over the top strong shooting and editing technical skills
