Services Complex Deal Associate

As a part of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to be a part of driving IBM's ongoing transformation as a company that continuously innovates and leads the market.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:+ You'll have a chance to support complex, strategic investment and alternative structure opportunities for inorganic growth across IBM Services businesses. This means (1) providing thought leadership (2) supporting deal processes (3) maintain close relationships with executive leadership; and (4) completing special projects alongside a team of high energy self-starters.+ We need self-motivated team members who enjoy staying on top of current & emerging professional & technology services offerings, tech industry trends, and developing competitive landscapes across multiple IBM Services business units. This can mean everything from desktop research to engaging with investors, entrepreneurs, and the broader investment community.+ In this role you will conduct market opportunity assessment and financial analysis, building skills in investment financial modeling and value. Additional exposure to deal project management, research, executive communication, execution.+ Consistent interaction with both external and IBM senior executive management on high visibility and time sensitive projects. You'll have unique opportunities to establish consistent, impactful dialogues with executives, becoming a trusted advisor on market opportunities, financial analysis, investment case development, and deal evaluation.+ Our team will also give you a chance to gain a comprehensive understanding of the broader portfolio as you support high-level strategic decision making.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ 2 - 5 years in services/product/offering management or new business, market assessment, financial management experience+ Direct experience or demonstrated interest in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), services strategy in technology or finance through prior roles.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ *Prior experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), investment banking, PE, VC, consulting etc.*Technical solution/product/offering management or technology services delivery experience.*Familiarity with all stages of the acquisition, investment and divestiture lifecycles.*Ability to construct, analyze, and critique financial statements, financial models from a professional, technology services lens.*Expertise with acquisition, investment models, discounted cash flow analysis, and/or other means of calculating a return on investment (ROI) and assessing value.About Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
