What you will do

  • Performs a variety of finance/accounting functions, focused on accurate commission payments and reporting, in support of our salesforce. All work must be in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting and other financial areas.

  • Act as business partner to salesforce to provide support including ad hoc requests, trainings, & commission-related inquiries.

  • Collaborates on regular basis with leadership including VP, Directors, and Finance leads.

  • Subject matter expert of commissions system & sales reporting tool, including data warehouse & system’s logic.

  • Actively participates in review of salesforce compensation plans, including SPIFs and bonus objectives, acting as liaison between finance & sales leadership.

  • Will work cross-functionally with counterparts to support salesforce/business needs, identifying areas of improvement.

  • Compiles test scripts and participates in UAT, user experience testing, and all projects.

  • Responsible for calculating, researching, and processing monthly sales commissions for business unit.

  • Assists in the completion of journal entries & month end reporting in a timely manner while compliant with GAAP.

  • Assesses commission programs, using data to provide feedback to sales leadership on effectiveness.

  • Influences the formulation of policy, programs, and incentives, providing feedback and focus in specific areas.

What you need

  • 2+ years of related experience required

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Shows solid grasp of commission fundamentals and possesses the technical skills necessary to adequately support business needs.

  • Demonstrates solid business expertise for his/her respective business unit, so that he/she may adeptly problem-solve and/or anticipate commission requests.

  • Peers include Analysts.

  • Adept at solving moderate to complex commission and system challenges.

  • Must understand operations, process and procedures and be able to represent this information in financial/statistical format.

  • Must be able to consistently apply GAAP to all activities and functions.

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be PC literate with working knowledge of standard accounting/financial software.

  • Advance Excel experience required.

  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred.

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment effectively.

  • Exceptional inter-personal communication skills.
