We partner with higher Ed institutions to help them build and manage learner-centered, academically strong experiences that help learners to achieve success in career and life.

Our team helps our academic partners translate their pedagogical visions into rich, engaging online experiences that deliver strong outcomes. Providing strategy, planning, and research to help identify opportunities, prototype new offerings, and improve program performance. Enrolling more students by building compelling marketing campaigns, improving recruitment, and opening new channels to reach qualified learners. Advising and supporting partners to rapidly expand non-degree offerings, including short courses, bootcamps, and other forms of experiential, team-based learnings. Support and coaching learners to improve recruitment, retention, satisfaction, and graduation rates.

Position Summary:

The SVP of Marketing & Learner Acquisition is a key member of the Senior Leadership team responsible for driving growth in enrollments across POLS University partners by providing the best possible experience for prospective learners. The role has responsibility for the full funnel of marketing, enrollment and onboarding for prospective learners. This leader must ensure there is a seamless and high quality customer journey for learners across multiple channels as they progress through the discovery and enrollment process. This encompasses everything from a national marketing strategy, demand generation, brand, website operations, lead nurture, enrollment services and systems.

The SVP of Marketing & Learner Acquisition has the critical responsibility for enrollment growth across POLS University partners and will report directly to the Managing Director of POLS.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision: build the plan to deliver the best customer experience for Learners, while serving the partner universities we support, increasing the effectiveness of the overall marketing and enrollment model, grow revenues and market share.
  • Develop winning and distinctive brand value propositions, create advertising campaigns that reinforce the partner universities brand positioning.
  • Establish strategies to maximize learner acquisition. Responsible for managing all areas of marketing, including strategy, demand generation, lead nurturing via multiple channels, SEO, paid search, social media, word-of-mouth, direct marketing, and events. Develop comprehensive, multi-channel communications strategies, optimized to enhance the customer experience, which educate and engage learners from the time they express interest through a successful start
  • Build comprehensive marketing strategies catered to each university partner, based on strong local knowledge, good customer insights.
  • Define the right enrollment structure to support university partners including the right model, right mix of in-house enrollment teams and outsourced vendors. Build out and manage to KPIs to support high conversion of leads to enrollments. Ability to manage day-to-day team performance to meet ambitious growth targets.
  • Manage in-house enrollment call center team, overseeing recruitment, training, and management of a high-performing group focused on growing enrollments.
  • Leverage various technologies and development to support customer-facing and back-office systems and tools to address scale and growth needs (e.g., chat, AI etc.)
  • Drive customer satisfaction through a focus on execution of all content, interactions and processes to improve the customer experience, whilst maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for the development and management of the department annual operating and capital budgets in coordination with other executive management team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Oversee a strong people development agenda, including promoting skills building, setting forward-thinking objectives, and providing opportunities of coaching and mentoring
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, creativity, collaboration and innovation

Requirements:

  • 10+ years General Management, Business Development, Sales or Marketing experience required, with a direct experience working directly in the education industry.
  • Experience working in a high-stakes regulatory environment such as education, financial services or health care, where regulatory compliance is critical to operational success and consequences for non-compliance are detrimental to the organization
  • Scale: experience in managing B2C marketing & enrollment for a business with over $300m in revenues.
  • Experience in leading change, driving transformation and b2c enrollment processes or similar complex online applications. Strong understanding of all elements of funnel conversion and levers to pull.
  • Excellent leadership skills, an ability to build the case for change and to bring people with you. Operates with a high sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology and integrate diverse sets of information to solve problems as well as build and execute on business plans.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently in a start-up or fast-paced environment and coordinate the completion of multiple tasks simultaneously. Adapts readily and easily to changes in priorities and business conditions while still driving towards organizational results
  • Proven experience in directing and developing a large team
  • Ability to develop and manage complex budgets and forecast results
