Purpose Summary

Pearson Virtual Schools is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and customer-driven Marketing Automation Developer to be a part of our innovative team. You will be responsible for building omni-channel marketing campaigns, data segmentation, journey automation, multi-variant testing, quality assurance, and performance monitoring to help us meet enrollment and retention goals.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Code responsive emails for various promotional, lifecycle, and transactional campaigns using the latest HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and JavaScript best practices
  • Build, test and deploy cross-channel marketing campaigns from Salesforce Marketing Cloud (B2C) and Pardot (B2B)
  • Develop highly personalized and scalable dynamic content using Salesforce and Movable Ink
  • Continually A/B test hypotheses such as subject lines, content, design/layout, or timing to increase customer engagement and retention while decreasing unsubscribes
  • Perform administrative functions within Marketing Cloud and Pardot
  • Maintain best practices for marketing automation platforms
  • Email QA for content and rendering across email clients and mobile devices
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry advancements, including opportunities to leverage AI and our technology to improve performance

Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies

  • 2+ years of cross-channel marketing experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Pardot
  • Expert knowledge in HTML and CSS (must be able to code emails from scratch) ensuring it is cross browser and mail client compatible
  • Mastery of AMPscript and/or SSJS to develop dynamic content
  • Proficiency with data – understanding relational data architecture and data types, including knowledge of SQL, import definitions, file transfer, and data extracts
  • Well versed in using email deliverability tools like ReturnPath or Everest
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other members of the marketing team
  • Excellent organizational skills and good time management
  • Use a logical approach to problem solving
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Dreamweaver)
  • Salesforce certified

Key relationships

  • Works closely with Supervisor, Email Operations and Marketing Automation
  • Maintains effective relationships with direct marketing & automation teammates and other marketing and business stakeholders

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $70,000-$85,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Benefits available to eligible employees can be seen at: https://pearsonbenefitsus.com/
