The Director will be responsible for leading life cycle management team of 4 direct reports of Hematology marketers focused on both niche and mature brands across the US Hematology portfolio including brands such as (Sprycel, Inrebic, IDHIFA, R2).

This individual will contribute to the development and execution of the Lifecycle Management brand strategy, incorporating a hybrid marketing approach through personal and non-personal promotion efforts as the brands move through the lifecycle utilizing effective channels to reach customers. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can work can work with a high degree of autonomy, in a dynamic environment utilizing creative problem-solving skills, industry knowledge and.

The ideal candidate will possess a portfolio mindset and experience uncovering and implementing innovative marketing strategies in a competitive marketplace. This position reports to the Executive Director, Lifecycle Management Brands US Hematology.

Core product responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead a team of 4 direct reports of hematology portfolio marketers to drive execution and oversee development of channel segment marketing strategies
  • Develop and execute focused strategies for brand performance by evaluating insights, category trends, in-market performance, and competitive activity
  • Partner with internal colleagues to explore opportunities to grow competitive share, drive sales, and improve profitability for brands in U.S. Hematology lifecycle management scope
  • Oversea the brand execution across channel to ensure marketing strategies are leveraged throughout the LCM portfolio through data-driven brand management to ensure delivery of sales goals
  • Design annual marketing tactical expense budget and manage those activities throughout the year to ensure budget adherence across the LCM portfolio
  • Partner with Data & Analytics and Market Research & CI to align communication platforms, support KPI development, measurement, and support business reporting and forecasting
  • Proactively addresses and manages risks and issue escalation
  • Identifies synergies across the portfolio and effectively highlight channel management opportunities to achieve revenue targets
  • Partner with the Director of U.S. Hematology LCM and Global partners to implement key marketing strategies to ensure an optimized portfolio approach

Effectively partners with key stakeholders across the BMS matrix

  • Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, regional partners, embracing teamwork and project management within a cross functional environment will be critical.
  • Ensure close coordination with Finance, on budgeting and projections
  • Coordinates with BI&A colleagues to understand the effectiveness of different marketing channels and makes plans to maximize impact in support of assigned brands

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • BA/BS in related field required; MBA preferred
  • 8-10 years industry experience with 5+ years of marketing/equivalent experience.
  • Sales and marketing leadership, with P&L management preferred.
  • Experience in Oncology/Hematology space desired
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, identify key issues, opportunities, and value drivers, and effectively translate strategic insights into an appropriate framework to drive business decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix organization and adapt quickly with a positive attitude in a constantly changing and growing workplace
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and multiple departments, including presentation of market research results and strategic recommendations
  • Desire and ability to travel, when attending advisory boards, conferences, market research, etc. (up to ~20% travel)
