Position Summary

The Associate Director, Regional Marketing, is a mid-level in-market position within the US Commercial organization. This role will focus on leading local engagements with psoriasis experts to gain insights into national, regional, and local opportunities, provide a bridge between regional markets and headquarters, regionally support the brand strategy. Additionally, the RMK will lead Peer to Peer speaker development, training, and the execution of promotional programs, and support local and regional congress activity. This role will liaise with other field-based Leaders, within approved SOPs, including but not limited to Field Medical, Sales, Training, Advocacy, US Value, Access & Payment, in addition to home office-based colleagues in Marketing, Sales, US Access/Payer teams, and Medical as appropriate. The position will report to the Director, West Regional Marketing, and function as part of the US Immunology Dermatology Marketing Team.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy

  • Support cross-functional teams to gather key customer insights and input on the marketplace by garnering insights on commercial launch strategy, including designing local marketplace tactics, clinical messaging, access, and educational needs.
  • Lead Peer to Peer educational program execution efforts and support sales team execution for branded education, when appropriate
  • Supporting the execution of approved Commercial Advisory Boards
    • Assist in identification of Healthcare Professional (HCP) consultants based on profile established by the approved Consultant Engagement Project Brief
    • Design, Facilitate, participate in, and attend advisory boards, where appropriate
  • Enhancing the overall image of BMS by educating on BMS values and history while establishing BMS as a preferred partner committed to dermatology

KOL Engagement (disease state or product, when appropriate) in assigned targeted accounts

·Function as a thought leader liaison to key KOL’s within the community and build bridge to/from customer to BMS.

·Champion the brand, disease state and commercial strategy through strategic and meaningful engagement locally with KOL’s and at local, regional, and national congresses and advocacy events.

·Gain insights from key HCP customers that will allow brand and matrix partners to create and evolve brand strategy.

·Support mechanism of pathway, disease state or product educational efforts, when appropriate,

·Execute HCP and access engagement and educational activities in the field and at key congresses

Speaker Program Management & Engagement

·Develop HCP and access speakers to provide compliant, high-quality speaker programs on disease state, mechanism of pathway, and product, when appropriate

·Attend and provide HCP clinical training on unbranded and branded education, BMS compliance parameters, and coaching for contracted speakers

·Ensure appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programs for internal members of the organization and external contracted speakers.

·Monitor and evaluate compliant speaker performance peer to peer education at live and virtual programs

·Provide field-based training to speakers on speaker program content and updates when needed

·Engage with assigned KOLs and solicit feedback, as necessary

Compliant Collaboration with other Field-based and Home Offices-Based Teams

·Cross-functional teaming with field and home marketing matrix partners to provide key customer insights and input on commercial strategy, tactics, messaging, access. This will include strategy meetings for construction of optimal local and regional efforts.

·Work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with BMS’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and RMK SOP of complaint partnering

·Lead branded and unbranded educational program development and execution. Efforts may include levels of advisement and content creation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of demonstrated success in one of the following: Thought leader engagement, product marketing, field sales and or management, or medical affairs in dermatology.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in pharma or clinical management of patients in Dermatology- Preferred
  • Demonstrated success and expertise with thought leader engagement, ad boards and speaker’s bureau- strongly preferred
  • Marketing, Sales Management, and/or extensive pharma product launch experience- strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to successful manage accounts in a large geographical territory including both academic and community-based HCP’s
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive stakeholder relationships internally and externally with impactful engagement tactics
  • Ability to inform strategies, develop tactics and execute against strategic plans under short timelines that will help to achieve the desired goals
  • Deep pharma understanding and strong business acumen. Includes Understanding of SP’s, bridge programs, and complex SP distributed drug market dynamics, business drivers including private equity firms, access complexities that would impact corporate goals and strategy iterations.
  • Clinical knowledge and aptitude in complex/competitive disease states including dermatology. Desire to continuously learn and improve by applying new knowledge and skills on the job
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills. Able to determine effective approaches and take the appropriate action based on the available information/resources consistent with the over-arching strategy
  • Ability to leverage appropriate interpersonal communication styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans
  • Demonstrated cross-collaboration with matrix partners with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to try different and novel ways to deal with work challenges and opportunities.
  • Travel required 35-45% Business travel, by air or car, is regularly required
  • Willingness to work evenings and select weekends is required
