What you’ll be doing...

The Robotics Business Group is hiring a Robotics Sales Engineer to provide technical and operational expertise for prospective and current clients interested in adopting autonomous mobile robotics solutions in either indoor or outdoor environments. You will relate complex technical concepts in a meaningful and impactful way that resonate with multiple industry experts. As a close partner of our Sales and Customer Success teams, Sales Engineers own key components of the sales process including infrastructural/architectural discovery, collaborative solution design, and technical validation. You will explain the benefits of our service and approach to multiple stakeholders including C-Level executives. Sales Engineers will be a conduit to the rest of the organization, relaying relevant date points to Product, Engineering and Marketing. This role may travel up to 70% of the time and will have the opportunity to work with teams around the country and internationally. The candidate must demonstrate strong competency with robotics principles and best practices as they relate to enterprise operations.
This Robotics Sales Engineer will work closely with the Robotics Sales Team to deliver technical and operational expertise as it relates to our robotics application and solutions.

  • Develop robotics sales opportunities across multiple geographies, industries, and use cases.
  • Discovery consultations to understand robotics use cases, organizational requirements and challenges.
  • Create demos and technical proofs-of-concepts to demonstrate our features in real-world scenarios.
  • Communicate customer needs and product feedback to product management, marketing, and sales.
  • Collaborate with customer success to ensure that new customers successfully implement and launch their program.
  • Support sales enablement in rolling out new technical concepts to the Sales and CS teams.
  • Recommend and develop technical approaches for enabling client robotics use case.
  • Recommend and conduct proof-of-concept validation of technical approaches for enabling client use case.
  • Meet with clients remotely or in-person as part of sales or services engagements.
  • Present robotics solutions to large audiences and answer a number of questions that relate to the scenario that is most effective for the client.
  • Manage multiple opportunities across multiple sales people in parallel.

Where You'll Be Working:

In this remote role, you'll work from home with occasional in-person trainings and meetings.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in sales engineering or solution consulting in a SaaS-based business.
  • Experience selling complex solutions to enterprise customers in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial IOT or automation use cases.
  • Experience with autonomous mobile robotics (AMR) industry and concepts.
  • Experience with AMR operations, equipment and performance characteristics.
  • Willingness to travel within the USA and internationally as necessary.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Documented three years of experience in the robotics space.
  • Ability to read and understand regulatory, policy, operational requirements and reconcile them with client business needs in order to recommend best practices for the employment of AMR solutions.
  • Ability to learn the robotics software and solutions at expert-level proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
  • Experience working across the supply chain -- from OEM’s to end user.
  • Specific industry expertise -- manufacturing, transportation, construction, etc.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, robotics, or comparable fields.
