If so, read on!Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThis is a supplemental co-op position for a User Experience Designer/Developer with the IBM Global Industry Solutions team in Coppell, Texas. The Global Industry Solutions team is comprised of Industry Solution Architects, Specialists and Designers who bring IBM together to accelerate solutions to help clients innovate and address their most challenging business problems. This person will work with team members and clients to create high quality proofs-of-concept and generate technical sales assets for the progression or close of solution sales opportunities.Key Responsibilities:+ Translate complex problems, scenarios and visions to user centric test-driven solutions, co-creating with the team and our clients+ Leverage creative and artistic design skills to bring solution and solution messaging to life for clients+ Implement user interface using contemporary development tools and methodologiesKey Skills:+ Demonstrate a strong design portfolio for review (quality over quantity)+ Demonstrated User Interface and Visual design skills (Composition, typography, color theory)+ Demonstrated understanding of functional user centric design through iteration+ Demonstrated implementation skills using contemporary tools, frameworks and libraries+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, works well in teams, and quickly adapts to new technologies+ Experience with brand guideline and brand design asset management+ Good understanding of design systems (Carbon, iOS, Material design etc.)+ Understanding of responsive design, prototyping, wire-framing, storyboarding and playbacks+ Understanding of design accessibility standardsThe ideal candidate will possess:+ Knowledge of contemporary design tools including Invision, Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma etc.+ Basic motion graphics skills with Adobe After Effects or other animation software+ Understanding of quantitative and qualitative design research methodologies+ Front end programming skills using HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, Angular+ Understanding of Agile and Design Thinking+ Experience with ideation and conceptualizationOther Requirements:+ This co-op role will work in the Coppell, TX IBM office once we can safely return. You should reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area+ You must be actively pursuing an Undergraduate technology degree throughout the co-op term, preferably in Design, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction or a related area+ Ideally, you will graduate in May 2022 or later and will be able to work as a co-op for 12 months+ During the school year, you must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, and up to full-time during school breaks+ Fluent in English+ IBM will not be providing visa sponsorship for these positions, now or in the future.
