Bristol Myers Squibb is looking for an experienced Scientist to join the Global Quality Analytical Science and Technology (GQAS&T) - Method Lifecycle team, supporting our global biologics analytical and manufacturing network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical oversight and ownership of analytical methods.

  • Provide technical oversight of method revisions.

  • Assist with method transfers to QC GMP labs within and outside of BMS.

  • Assist in obtaining critical reagent supply for assigned methods.

  • Conduct periodic review of method performance and work with team leader to design and execute remediation experiments and implement changes to existing commercial methods.

  • Review method summaries in regulatory filings.

  • Respond to Health Authority queries regarding analytical methods.

  • Work collaboratively across organization and sites for method readiness, transfer, performance and troubleshooting in commercial environment.

  • Work closely with all AS&T team members to understand their deliverables to achieve organization goal.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • BS or MS with 5-10 years or Ph.D. with 0-5 years of bio-therapeutic development & industry experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of protein separation techniques, including iCIEF, SDS-PAGE Gel Electrophoresis and Chromatography.

  • Demonstrated experiences supporting QC investigations, troubleshooting commercial analytical methods, including Electrophoresis, Chromatography, and UV-VIS spectroscopic based technologies.

  • Familiarity with general compendial methods, such as pH, Appearance, Karl Fischer Water Content and Osmolality testing.

  • Some knowledge and experiences working with biologic products is preferred

  • Familiarity with protein characterization methods such as mass spectrometry, peptide mapping, and carbohydrate analysis.

  • Demonstrated experiences of method validation and transfer is desired.

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of ICH guidelines and international pharmacopoeia requirements (i.e. USP, EP, JP).

  • Knowledge of GMP principles is desired.

  • Demonstrated skills working in cross-functional strategic teams and collaboration with internal and external partners.
