Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative International Science and Technology Advisor to provide research and analysis on new and emerging technologies to engage with partner nations in the Indo-Pacific in support of U.S Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) at Camp H.M. Smith, HI.

In this position, you will provide coordination and execution support for International Science & Technology Engagement initiatives, to include Joint International Experimentation (JIE), and other innovation/S&T workshops and engagements. You will assist the government with validating international S&T engagement policies, plans, and messaging to facilitate enhancing multilateral cooperation.

You will assist USINDOPACOM in the development of related international S&T roadmaps and implementation of strategic action plans. You will conduct operational concept, research, and application analysis of the production and implementation of comprehensive, long-term, fully integrated Department of Defense (DoD) strategies for the utilization of innovative approaches for national security and theater peace and stability. You will provide technical expertise to study, analyze, and report on DoD and A&P warfighters’ requirements and capability gaps, and how these are addressed by proposed material and/or non-material solutions.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 10 years of combined experience managing complex programs and projects in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting technical solutions to operational challenges, such as information systems, aviation platforms, space-based capabilities, missile defense, etc.
  • Experience developing communications among various stakeholders to include international partners
  • Experience coordinating conferences and high-level meetings
  • Experience working in international forums
  • Experience in writing reports, graphics, and information papers
  • Experience analyzing operational data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint collaborative tools
  • Due to the nature of work, must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility after your start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME)
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience in coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and USINDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations such as State Department
