Job Summary

Amentum is hiring a Supply Chain Research Analyst within the Trusted Microelectronics Division. The Analyst will participate as a team member as part of a larger project or may serve as a Task Leader on less complex tasks under the guidance of a Team Leader. This is a hybrid position of telework and office days.


As the Supply Chain Research Analyst, you will perform many daily duties, including:

  • Analyze and research material to gain a thorough technical understanding of a complex subject area supporting a task assignment. Task assignment may include strategic planning and analysis; demand and capacity analysis; economic analysis; regulatory analysis; safety and risk analysis; system operation performance analysis; and information analysis
  • Prepare oral presentations and written reports to management, indicating solution or range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success when there is no single solution
  • Researches semiconductor industry in all its facets, including the financial, geopolitical, and technological
  • Create analytical products using information available through foreign and domestic, public, and private open source materials within established security protocols

  • Analyze foreign and domestic based publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address supply chain vulnerabilities

  • Provide on-site client support, including but not limited to: client inquiries, requests for ad hoc reporting, miscellaneous research, and advice on analytic methods
  • Provide insightful, well-researched analysis of key analytic findings and guidance to clients with regard to supply chain risk mitigation
  • Participate as member of client’s analytical working group
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent and 8 years of experience in a related field
  • 2 years of previous work experience relating to research and analysis
  • Experience using social media to support research and analysis; previous experience or familiarity with social network and link analysis methods and software
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully conduct research and write analytical reports with strong attention to detail through previous work experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
