RDBMS being the oracle's main product for onprem and underlying Database server for most of the cloud services including Autonomous Database Cloud Services, any issue or problem faced by customer(s) is of very high impact.Your responsibilities include resolving customer issues at a faster pace and be able to switch contexts/priorities between multiple customer issues. Scope of resolution expands to significant improvements to product through actual code and features development. More development work follows once the issue is resolved. You will be responsible to improve the product by adding diagnostic enhancements to be able to detect/catch problems easily, improving autonomous aspect in detecting and correcting the problem (without user intervention), work on new features, develop tools that could help improve the operational efficiency in debugging/analyzing the data gathered around the problems.Development experience in database internals, query optimization, execution along with query performance and data warehouse technologies would be a plus. Work is non-routine, complex and highly visible with customer success being the main focus.
