Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Jr. Software Developer to provide onsite support at our customer’s site in Linthicum, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in supporting Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center’s Technical Solutions Development (TSD) directorate. DC3 delivers capability with a team comprised of Department of the Air Force civilians, Air Force and Navy military personnel, and contractors for specialized support.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist to design, develop, and maintain software for a variety of engineering applications.
Work with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirements.
Support the engineering team to develop tools and interfaces
Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications.
Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.
Have hands-on involvement to design embedded systems software.
Assist with software maintenance and emergency issues as they arise.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 1+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Technical or scientific degree applicable to the field of digital forensics or equivalent knowledge and experience; previous military and/or law enforcement experience
Internship or co-op experience will be counted as prior experience.
At least one year of functional experience writing software code using tools such as C, C++, SQL, Linux, or other similar programs.
Active Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications/Certifications
CompTIA
Security+ CE
Previous experience working with Air Force programs.
