What you’ll be doing...

You will be defining, architecting, designing, and driving the RAN software strategy and roadmaps (including budget management) for Network and Technology evolution within their specific domain. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to define and ensure technology alignment for all aspects of the product/service initiative will be part of this role. Defining, refining and executing on all aspects of a multi-year plan for their specific domain will be a major part of this position.

  • Leading the development of the RAN network strategy/roadmap across the technical organizations by being the subject matter expert.
  • Collaborating with others to determine the business needs and/or execute on the delivery of the organization's strategies and goals.
  • Developing and managing the strategy and vision of the organization, developing methods and procedures that govern the development of the network.
  • Establishing solid working relationships based on mutual trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement, leveraging the latest industry knowledge and methods for ensuring network performance.
  • Communicating program status and setting clear direction concerning process, standards, and roles/responsibilities for all involved project teams.

In this hybrid role, you will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in leading large, dynamic, cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of changes in the marketplace and the impact on our business.
  • Knowledge of leadership andin driving RAN evolutionary plans in the following platforms: 5G, LTE technology: voice and data infrastructure including: Samsung, Ericsson, Nokia, Device chipset vendors Qualcomm, Media tek etc.
  • Experience in negotiating and championing RAN Software Feature Roadmaps with Network Infrastructure vendors like Ericsson, Samsung.
  • Experience in managing the symbiotic roadmap relationship with device technology vendors.
  • Knowledge of RAN engineering concepts and principles, including RF theory, propagation modelling, FCC/FAA regulations.
  • Experience in wireless standard organization including 3GPP, NGMN etc.
  • Experience in ANR, VPS, VSON. CSON Automation and programming.
  • Experience in the virtual network like VRAN, VCP,VCP edge and VCP far edge including their architecture and implementation.
  • Experienced in taking a company forward in a fast-growth environment, providing insight for direction and managing change effectively.
  • Ability to manage customer and executive escalations.
  • Good presentation skills to catering to all levels of management with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a manner that is understood by the audience.
  • Ability to prioritize efforts and tasks in a large-volume.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a California work location, the compensation range for this position is between $126,000 and $255,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
