Responsibilities

Join the P&C Actuarial & Underwriting Modeling (PCM) Department as an Infrastructure Engineer on the Cloud Enablement team!

The P&C Actuarial and Underwriting Modeling Department is developing innovating predictive models using emerging technologies and capabilities. Working on the Analytic Data Security Enablement team within the PCM department, you play an integral role to work directly with business partners to make fast decisions and drive pace. Your work is essential to enable the security in cloud and do some POC to prove out the security patterns in cloud.

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will:

  • Work closely with product team and customers to represent P&C business needs in RDS security, storage, movement, and analytic asset development efforts, with focus on cloud security
  • Provide intelligent security management and pipeline solutions for the development, implementation, execution, validation, monitoring, and improvement/reusability of analytic solutions
  • Identify critical and emerging technologies, techniques, tools, RDS security for column level and row level security.

Qualifications

We are looking for all levels of Infrastructure Engineers:

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of information cloud security
  • Knowledge of end-to-end cloud infrastructure
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining monitoring strategies and associated information security operational procedures, guidelines, and processes
  • Experience developing information security controls, tools, techniques, and governance to protect State Farm assets in cloud
  • Experience developing use cases for information security events and security monitoring strategies
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills to challenge current thinking and apply right technology to solve problems.


Preferred Skills:

  • Any experience with AWS creating IAM roles/policies/groups/users and managing consumers access in Cloud.
  • Any experience with data access and how security around data access.
  • Any experience with GitOps
  • Any experience with scripting language.
  • AWS IAM, Policies, Users and Roles creation experience.
  • Understanding the AWS security around data access patterns and Resources security.


Incumbency Period:

There is a 24-month incumbency period (beginning on the employee's effective date) for any lateral job movements and a 12-month incumbency period for any promotional opportunities, which must be met before the employee may post for other State Farm positions. The incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.
