Description

The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) is seeking highly motivated and adaptable candidates for an Electrical Engineer Internship in Beavercreek, OH. This position involves performing signal processing, algorithm development, and data analysis tasks in support of research and development (R&D) projects related to a wide variety of radar, electronic warfare (EW), electro-optic (EO), and infrared (IR) sensors and systems. The LInC has broad expertise in fields such as artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), EW, sensors, autonomy, surveillance systems, big data, applied biology, and directed energy.

In this role, you will be expected to apply existing knowledge and acquire new skills to help solve relevant, complex problems for U.S Department of Defense (DoD) customers. During your time at Leidos, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mentors, engineers, and interns to complete required tasks and objectives. In addition to gaining technical skills and experience, you will get the opportunity to take part in team-building and personal development seminars and activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop solutions to challenging problems, and document results and findings

  • Apply previously acquired skills and knowledge to R&D tasks

  • Effectively communicate with engineers and scientists regarding current tasks

Basic Qualifications

  • Working towards degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (minimum 3.0 GPA)

  • Experience with MATLAB, CAD, and/or Python

  • Demonstrate problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills

  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance, US Citizenship required

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic R&D environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with artificial intelligence/machine learning/deep learning

  • Experience with modeling and simulation

  • Experience with C++ programming language

  • Experience with Linux

Pay Range:

Pay Range $37,050.00 - $66,975.00
