What you’ll be doing...

Our network engineering team keeps us ahead of the competition. As a Network Engineering and Operations Consultant you will be managing capacity for our OSP fiber network to support various initiatives such as FTTP and FTTC in northeast district (Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York State). You will play a key role in making sure our network can support FiOS, FTTC, Network Transformation and Ethernet based services while in a program management role. The Program/Project Manager is responsible to lead large cross-functional teams to ensure that monthly, quarterly and year targets are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Lead key strategic initiatives in support of organizational or area strategies.
  • Oversee all aspects of the implementation of more than one large project and provide a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Analyze large amounts of data and put that data into an easy to understand format that allows Senior Management to make critical business decisions.
  • Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity, analysis of situations or data that requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Track program deliverables and adjusting program plans to meet program requirements.
  • Schedule meetings and coordinates communication regarding program progress and risks that impact budget and/or timeline

While you work well independently, you are also a great team player and enjoy leading colleagues and coordinating efforts to ensure best outcomes. No stranger to a fast-paced environment, you manage multiple assignments and competing priorities while staying focused on important deadlines. As a strong communicator, you can quickly build relationships with a diverse range of people and explain complex technical issues in a way that everyone can understand.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields.
  • Experience with windows-based programs and corporate database systems.
  • Experience with CAD, and MS Excel/MS Access.
