We are in search of an Infrastructure Engineer to join our task force. You will based in Hampshire but will be expected to travel to client sites.

The role will include project activities and operational (business as usual / BAU) support activities. The duties of the role will also include providing remote and on-site support with the expectation of levels of travel within the UK. There may also a requirement to provide out of hours on call support within a shared service from time to time.

Your passions and experience will help you become a technical specialist and process owner with our operations support You will be expected to contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation and provide material to assist colleagues and help share the knowledge you are gaining.

We are looking for someone with a passion for learning infrastructure, networking or cloud technologies, ideally from an operational support services background with experience in cloud hosted and / or privately hosted environments. You will be self-motivated and be able to work to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables. You must be an effective communicator, comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues. You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.

Ideally, you will:

• Have a passion for technology and helping provide excellent technical services to customers;

• Have some exposure to Windows desktop clients (Windows 10) in a support capacity (helpdesk, user support, customer support;

• Be aware of virtualized environments and products such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V;

• Be aware of the Microsoft Server products and the client server model

• Have experience or be interested in networking (including load balancing and firewalls), and storage technologies;

• Possess excellent communication skills.

• Any exposure to AWS or Microsoft Azure would be advantageous

• Have some knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure;

• Any exposure to Linux an advantage.
