As an ETL/Data Viz Engineer on the SORT Team, you will be a data lead to design and implement ETL (extract, transform and lead) data processes and publish dashboards, ad hoc reports for the Network Repair Bureau (NRB) and Wireless Network Management Center (NMC). You will build ETL pipelines to ingest the data from multiple sources into our system. The job role might also require you to learn new tools and technologies fast, and you should have some database knowledge as well as basic programming and scripting skills. This position will require direct interaction with requesters from inside and outside of the department.

  • Engage with stakeholders and business owners to understand their data requirements and help them make data-related decisions using your ETL knowledge and experience.
  • Serve as a data owner on behalf of our organization (NRB/NMC) as assigned.
  • Build/update dashboards and reports as requested

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • One or more years of Python, Java and data integration and development experience.
  • One or more years of data viz experience with Tableau, Qlik.
  • One or more years of SQL experience with Oracle.
  • Experience in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets.
  • Can serve as aconsultant to leadership and project owners to identify system involvement, data availability and to design reporting solutions for the stated need(s).
  • Can research tools, best practices, and improve skills through self-learning.
  • Can look for gaps in existing reporting and proactively design solutions.

Even better if you have:

  • ETL experience using Apache Airflow.
  • One or more years of data viz experience with Qlik or Looker.
  • One or more years of SQL experience with Teradata and Hadoop.
  • ThoughtSpot experience/knowledge.
  • Experience with the analysis/creation of various types of raw files like Json, Csv, Xml with Python using Pandas, Conda, etc.
