What you’ll be doing...

You will be part of a highly technical engineering organization that is focused on the engineering, implementation, and project management of new and existing equipment technologies into Verizon’s domestic and international networks. We are looking for an outstanding Data Analyst to collect, track, and analyze network project and program level data from multiple sources and IT systems.

As a Data Analyst, you should be comfortable with creating advanced data visualizations using various data analytics platforms for use at management and executive levels. You should also be a team player and collaborate with peers and management both inside and outside your organization.

• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and preserve the data integrity of these sources.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities garnered from the data analysis.
• Summarize, group, and visualize data sets and information for management and executive review utilizing various tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, ThoughtSpot, Qlik, and KNIME.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• This hybrid role will have a defined work location thatincludes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Data modeling experience.
• Data warehousing experience.
• Experience with reporting packages Tableau, Qlik Sence, ThoughtSpot, KNIME.

Even better if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, or other quantitative field or four or more years of work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with reporting packages Tableau, Oracle OBIEE 12g, Power BI, and Splunk.
• Technical and project management skills as well as excellent PC and software application skills including Windows and Google Suite: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive as well as advanced knowledge of MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced SQL skills for use in developing reports, data analysis, issues research, and data quality assurance.
• Strong team player with experience working with business users.
• Verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications.
• Ability to be highly organized and able to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
• Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge.
• Programmed in Java and Python.
• Familiar with Machine Learning.
