If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe role of the Cloud Technology Consultant is to be the technical leader responsible for the solution design and leading implementation of Cloud Technology solutions proposed to IBM Infrastructure Services customers.During the engagement you will spend up to 20-40% of their time interfacing directly with the client. You will be responsible for the overall success of the solution design and cost development at the technology and architecture level.You will provide leadership and initiative to design new and complex high quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements, incorporating in-depth knowledge of cloud products and technology in conjunction with industry and business results. You will utilize a combination of IBM standard and custom solutions and they develop complex, multiple year, custom solutions and associated cost cases, all with the goal to ensure consistent delivery of high quality services and/or solutions which meet client business and technical requirements and fulfil IBM's obligations. You will be a key player within the Technology & Architecture Consulting team collaborating on innovative ideas using proven approaches to deliver a winning solution. Most of the time you will also be responsible for leading the coordination of the various technical professionals and providers participating in an engagement.As part of your job you will present, review and modify the solution, with the internal/external client and key stakeholders, to meet deal requirements which match the client's and IBM's tactical and strategic requirements and to close the deal.Cloud Technology Consultants, have a foundational skill set which are the common language to ensure collaboration. They include:* Architecture Methodology: TOGAF, Architectural Thinking, UML, typical Work Products* Soft Skills: Communication, Negotiation, Leadership* Project Management Skills* Process know-how* Industry insightAs the accountable role for the end to end solution design, Cloud Technology Consultants technical knowledge must be as broad as possible in both Private and Public Cloud technologies at both the IaaS and PaaS levels.After successfully leading the engagement on a technical level you will also lead the implementation project, translating the solution design into a successful working solution for our customers. This will require both you in-depth know-how and your ability to lead others towards the common goal.A continuous learning attitude is a must to keep up to date in the ever evolving landscape of cloud technologiesRequired Technical and Professional ExpertiseRequired and demonstrable expertise of 5+ years in at least 2 of the following areas:*Advise on Application Migration Strategy & Design*Advise on Data Center Strategy & Design*Advise on Mobility Strategy & Design*Advise on Service Integration & Mgmt Strategy*Advise on Systems Strategy & Design*Perform Workload Transformation Analysis for Cloud*Advise on Resiliency Strategy & DesignThe required expertise must involve at least 2 of the following technologies:*Hybrid Cloud Clustering & High Avail Tech*Cloud Platform Selection*Data Management*Middleware Strategy & Design*Service Management Solutions*Software Defined Data Center SolutionsPreferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseBuilding Enterprise skills are essential for today's Consultant.
