The primary focus of a Solutions Engineer is to be an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers, and internally to our sales force.As a Principal Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:+ Understanding, identifying, and documenting client requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.+ Providing pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.+ Acting as a technical resource, mentor and leader for less experienced Solution Engineers.+ Developing and delivering high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations.+ Presenting and articulating advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions.+ Designing, validating, and presenting Oracle cloud, software and hardware solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.+ Supporting sales team in online and in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision.**Additional Desired Skillsets**+ Knowledge of and experience with any of public cloud providers including Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google (GCP) architecture, tools and cloud methodologies+ Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure or Google Cloud+ Experience in IaaS, DBaaS, DevOps and Micro-services design and development, with a minimum of two projects executed in these domains+ Be familiar with VMWare, KVM, AWS, Azure, Softlayer and Open Stack+ Applications development on Java/.NET, Python, Go, open source development tools+ Relational databases, NoSQL databases, MapReduce, analytics+ DevOps exposure and knowledge of one or more tools such as Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible+ Micro-services design principles and coding experience+ Understanding or experience in container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker+ Experience with government accreditations for Cloud such as FedRAMP, Impact Level, and ICD 503Ability to travel as needed; approximately 25% of the time.BS degree or equivalent.Cloud Certifications are highly desirable.5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools experience.Oracle product experience highly desirable.Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment.May have project lead role.Demonstrated proficiency in multi-user operating system through knowledge of system and application design.Strong verbal and written communication skills.**TS/SCI clearance eligible****Detailed Description and Job Requirements**The primary focus of a Principal Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to be an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales forceAs a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts.
