The Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) enclave boundary security infrastructure supports both Enterprise Telecommunications Network (ETN) and SIPRNet over Enterprise Telecommunications Network (SoETN). Due to expanding mission requirements around the globe, coupled with the need for regular lifecycle maintenance of the boundary firewall and proxy infrastructure, DLA seeks an enterprise approach to providing network security engineering services needed to manage the ongoing operations, planned upgrades, new technology insertion, and strategic capability development of boundary security systems and equipment with the goal of providing a secure, reliable, and high performance network that effectively enables DLA’s business activities.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBITLIES

  • Demonstrates knowledge and accomplishment in monitoring and analyzing Firewall system logs.
  • Works under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.
  • Develops required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
  • Coordinates with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
  • Ability to formulate Security policy and manage Security configuration.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) years relevant experience to include the following: Working knowledge of Firewalls.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software.
  • Working knowledge of Information Assurance Best Practices.
  • In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations.
  • Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DOD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies, to include, but not limited to, IA standards.
  • Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of network equipment, to include but not limited to firewalls and other network appliances.
  • Must hold a minimum of a Secret Clearance
  • Must hold one of the following DoD 8570 compliant certifications:
    • CCNA Security
    • CSA+
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • Security+CE
    • SSCP
    • CASP CE
    • CCNP Security
    • CISA
    • CISSP (or Associate)
    • GCED
    • GCIH
  • Must possess one of the following Computer Environment certifications:
    • Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)
    • Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • 1 to 3 Years of Cloud experience
