Leidos Defense Group is looking for a Cybersecurity Infrastructure Administrator to work on the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Cyberspaces Operations Forces’ (COF) program located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The COF mission is to provide Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) Operations, defensive cyber operations-internal defensive measures, and overall cyberspace operations in support of USTRANSCOM network systems and missions. The candidate will work closely with network service providers to install, configure, and service network-enabled devices and associated software. Other related infrastructure support activities are focused on system design sustainment support for the Government-furnished cybersecurity defense tool suites. This includes monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network devices as coordinated with service providers along with coordinating scheduled outages with service providers and customers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide design recommendations to the Government related to change requests for cybersecurity defense configurations related to HBSS/ESS rule exemptions, HBSS/ESS rogue system coverage resolution, Tanium content packs, and EDR Agent updates

  • Perform analysis on user and program related issues associated with cybersecurity defense infrastructure tools and provide recommendations to the Government

  • Configure cybersecurity defense tools according to Government guidance, which may include anti-malware software, engines, and signatures

  • Utilize the Government tool suites and capabilities to install software or firmware patches and upgrades, and ensure application and operating system versions are current and up to date on security vulnerability patches.

  • Operate and maintain a service assurance capability for cybersecurity defense service tools

  • Perform hardware maintenance, system log control, system monitoring, and operating system evaluations then provide recommendations to the Government for enhancements

  • Maintain the existing configuration and integrity of the cybersecurity defense tool suites to follow applicable policies and instructions. This could include updating flowcharts, HW/SW lists, PPSMs

  • New technology recommendations will be based off evaluating current network technologies through installing, monitoring, modifying, testing, and servicing

  • Submit requests for exemption to policy/direction that cannot be complied with to align with prescribed DoD policy/instruction

  • Create security assessment and authorization documentation, and conduct system security compliance, remediation, and validation activities to include remediation vulnerability and configuration compliance scan findings

  • Ensure changes impacting Ports, Protocols, and Service Management (PPSM) are properly documented within government configuration and change management and RMF processes

  • Provide compliance data as needed to Government in response to orders and directives along with develop and update POA&Ms

  • Conduct annual inventory of cybersecurity software and licenses, document results and findings, and produce an updated inventory report and provide the report to Government

  • Provide initial diagnostics and resolve issues related to unclassified and classified cybersecurity defense tool suites

  • Request ASIs

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree with 7+ years of prior relevant experience, a Masters with 5+ years, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree

  • Active Secret clearance

  • DoD 8570 Compliant to include IAT-III, CSSP-IR and CSSP-IS certifications; Waivers will be considered for candidates missing the Operating System certification required to be 8570 compliant. The waiver will give candidates 3-6 months to obtain the needed certification.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
