Job Description:

The Leidos Spatial Solutions Division is looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to lead activities across all task orders on an integration and sustainment program. The program is involved in the deployment and maintenance of multiple cloud based geospatial solutions, and the position will be leading the implementation and delivery of various CM tasks. A successful candidate will have experience with Agile methodologies and the various tools necessary to run agile teams, as well as the ability to participate in release planning events, daily scrums, and other technical discussions as needed. This role will support all activities owned by the CM team including documentation, architecture diagrams, cloud cost control methodologies and reporting, release management, and other tasks while requiring significant collaboration with other teams including the program management office and customer stakeholders. This role will include the development of a roadmap to implement and improve CM process throughout the program, coordinating efforts with several teams to improve the deployment cycle from requirements gathering through deployment to OPS, and building a solution that can scale as the program grows.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge of the program's software and hardware footprint capabilities across multiple environments and implement/improve the configuration management processes and tools as needed

  • Understand how to onboard new mission areas or functionality into the enterprise.

  • Collaborate with team leads to plan and manage task delivery requirements across multiple task orders

  • Understanding of the requirements gathering process and how to onboard new customers or functionality.

  • Update systems engineering artifacts including but not limited to: ConOps, Requirements Analysis, User Guides, and System View & Architecture Diagrams

  • Responsible for personnel management including staffing and performance reviews

  • Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.

  • Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage across complex projects and conflicting demands

  • Proven experience managing multiple baselines across multiple environments

  • Knowledge of agile principles and methodology

  • Familiar with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)

  • Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)

  • Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management

  • Experience with Configuration Management concepts, best practices, and technology

  • Must possess and maintain a TS Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Polygraph post hire

  • Requires BS/BA degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience OR 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree

  • In addition to program and team requirements, the candidate will also be responsible for personnel management including staffing, hiring, and performance reviews

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Experience establishing or significantly improving an existing CM system and process

  • Experience leading Engineering Review Boards and Change Management

  • Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies

  • Experience with cloud-based architectures

  • Experience improving and auditing deployment processes

  • Understand CM / SE process for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life

Pay Range:

Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00
