Description

Leidos is seeking a senior level Deputy Task Order Manager (DTOM)/Engineering Manager, who is a licensed Professional Engineer, to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.

Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

The position will be supporting a variety of Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) program areas such as; Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) with the goal of mitigating organizational risks and assisting the FAA achieve an improved state of compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Federal, State, and Local law, Configuration Management, and others. The DTOM must take a variety of actions such as analysis, report generation, site inspection, to support and improve EOSH Services program elements intended to protect employees and others in the workplace and protect the environment.

Deputy Task Order Manager (DTOM)/Engineering Manager Primary Responsibilities:

Assistance with overall management for the NISC EOSH Team task orders. The range of task order subject areas include Environmental and Occupational Safety, Budget and finance, air traffic control, configuration management, and many others.

  • Oversee task orders and personnel - Administration of task orders issued by FAA customers and responsibility for ensuring work requested under the task order is performed properly and within the prescribed time and budget constraints negotiated between the Contractor and the Government for the particular task order in question.
  • Manage and establish policies, procedures, and goals for the successful completion of work within the task order that is within budget and schedule constraints, commensurate with Leidos and Federal policies, procedures, and practices, and explains them to subordinates to ensure that such policies and procedures are effectively carried out.
  • Oversee a large team of experienced professionals, to include but not limited to civil, electrical and fire protection engineers) who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Manage personnel including, hiring, promotion, and termination authority within areas of responsibility, in accordance with manager review and approval.
  • Identify new business opportunities is within the area of responsibility.
  • Maintain frequent interface and communication with FAA personnel, other contractor personnel, FAA Engineering Technical Officers (ETOs), and other FAA customer representatives regarding multiple projects throughout the FAA.

Deputy Task Order Manager (DTOM)/Engineering Manager Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years of prior relevant experience or MA/MS with 3+ years of prior relevant experience. Generally, has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Arc Flash Analysis experience.
  • Direct FAA experience
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, both scheduled and unscheduled, effectively.
  • Experience with financial management for a large portfolio of projects including developing spend plans and performing budget analysis.
  • Broad knowledge of Program and Project Management in government operations.

Business Travel: Possible 5%

** While a clearance is not required to be considered for the position, the ability to obtain a clearance (i.e., Public Trust) is required if hired.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
