We develop distributed services and software applications that manage the life cycle of network devices, monitors the network to ensure high availability and enforces security. Our services expose highly available, software defined networking (SDN) capabilities for virtual network formation to our elastic compute customers.Were looking for a hands-on leader with strong management experience to come lead and build a team responsible for developing distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.Come build the state of the art IaaS network starting from the ground floor.Basic Qualifications:- 3-5 years of management experience leading teams to develop enterprise or cloud scale software.- 7 years of experience in software development with 2 years in large scale distributed systems / web services- Proficient at programming in Java, Python, C/C- Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fieldsPreferred Qualifications:- 10 years of industry experience- Experience developing Network software and/or experience working with network devices/hardware.- Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
